We offer marine science courses for certified divers because we think diving is much more rewarding and fun when you understand what you see.
If you’re not a diver yet, but you’re interested in marine biology and want to participate in one of our programs, – no problem! Arrive a few days early and you can be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver in just 3-4 days.
If you want to participate in the ReefCheck Eco Programe and contribute to their global survey of Reef Health, we also offer Discover ReefCheck and ReefCheck EcoDiver courses, for an introduction to, and certification in, reef monitoring and surveying
Our scientists are both marine biologists, and professional PADI Instructors. We have been working in and around the Andaman Sea for many years and know the local marine life extremely well.
The Tropical Reef Diver course gives a broad overview of 4 key areas within Marine Science. The 7-day course introduces essential theoretical knowledge relating to Oceanography, Zoology, Fis Biology and Marine Habitats with presentations, academic training and, most importantly, hands-on, in-water experience.
We keep group sizes small to ensure you receive maximum benefit from your tuition. Our emphasis is on safety, fun and personal service within a relaxed and stress-free environment.
After completing the Tropical Reef Diver course, you can specialise in the areas that most interest you, or build up a portfolio of specialist knowledge if you are interested in several different topics.
We offer a range of Reef Plus courses that allow you to deepen your understanding of subject areas such as Sharks & Rays, Venomous Species, Coral Life and Tropical Reef Fish. You need to have completed the Tropical Reef Diver course before enrolling on a Reef Plus course.
If you are short on time you can take a 2-day introductory course. We offer Discover Zoology, Discover Fish Ecology or Discover Marine Habitats. All our courses are modular, so you can build your knowledge and learning, step-by-step.
